About our team
Lucas’s experience in basement construction, suspended concrete and bespoke architecturally designed finishes, coupled with Robert’s Construction Management, design skills, and eye for detail make Hamilton Bardin the right company for your build, domestic or commercial, large or small.
Robert Hamilton
Robert completed his Civil Engineering degree in 1999 and then went on to work for tier 1 and tier 2 contractors as a Site Engineer. He quickly progressed up the ranks in various roles of Contracts Manager, Project Manager and then Construction Manager.
He worked on a variety of projects including luxury apartments, multistorey offices, education, health and retail up to the value of $70 million. During this time Robert obtained his Domestic and Commercial Construction licence through the Victorian Building Authority and won many awards for his efforts with the Master Builders Association of Victoria.
In 2011 Robert started his own company doing bespoke residential, commercial fit-outs and his own apartment developments. Due to his success, the company has grown significantly over this period and now has a reputation as a superior luxury home builder undertaking projects in excess of $5 Million.
Robert has a strong client focus in making sure expectations are met. He gets involved in ensuring quality outcomes are achieved and always has the client’s best interest in mind."
Lucas Bardin
Lucas started his Career in 1997 as an Apprentice with one of Australia’s largest construction companies, cutting his teeth on the $30M renovation of the Grand Hotel in Melbourne. The project scope was a conversion of the Historic Railways Administration Office into a Hotel and Serviced Apartments, Including several Luxury Penthouses.
This unique project had Lucas working alongside expert tradesmen in niche areas, such as solid plastering and stonemasonry. This exposure piqued his interest in luxury construction.
Over the next ten years, Lucas continued to grow and thrive in his career, quickly becoming a Foreman and then Site manager on large scale projects across Melbourne. He worked on a wide range of projects from Luxury apartments in Hawthorn to Hospitals and Schools, broadening his experience in areas of commercial construction and technical areas, such as sterile environments and complex service infrastructure.
During this time Lucas has worked closely with key stakeholders including Clients, Project managers, Architects and Engineers to gain an understanding of the required outcomes. Working with industry professionals and understanding what they require, Lucas was able to develop the methodologies and quality systems to ensure that projects were delivered on time and meeting or exceeded client expectations in terms of quality and functionality.
Lucas has a strong Site Management background coupled with extensive and varied trade experience. His focus on Client expectation and end-use satisfaction, makes him an industry leader in the construction of large scale and luxury design and build projects.”
